Workplace Application

Diversity (Noun, plural):
- The state of differing one from another.
- The state of being made up of distinct characteristics, qualities, or elements.

Diversity is a valuable part of organizational structure. The many different viewpoints, backgrounds, and experiences offered by employees provide a rich toolkit for developing products and services that can be enjoyed successfully by many.

There is not one set course of action that can be dictated for every situation. As professionals, we must maintain a calm and unbiased demeanor while analyzing any conflict or scenario that may arise in the workplace. This training manual was designed to provide a historical overview of where the United States has been and the journey taken to get to the established laws of today. These governmental policies affect every member of society, but especially corporate organizations. This is the reason why we have also included links to current news articles regarding events that are affected by diversity-related problems or scenarios.

We advise you to use this information and content to establish a firm foundation for understanding and dealing with diversity in the workplace.
